Description
This is a brown teapot, made in Japan, of unknown date. It was my mother's, and I am guessing from the 1970's-1980's, as it was around our house seemingly forever (never actually used) and her health cut back her collection habit in the 1990's. Condition is excellent--this was well cared for and only used for display as far as I am aware. Interior looks good with a blob of ceramic material baked on the bottom--a nice reminder this was made by a human and not a machine. Glaze condition is great: shiny but not too shiny. Color is good. No easily visible crazing. One additional blobby moment on the outside but not terribly distracting and a side effect of the process at any rate so forgivable. No cracks, no chips. About 6" tall with lid on and handle to spout about 8".
