Description

The Kodak Instamatic 100 was one of Kodak's first Instamatic cameras released in the USA, along with Kodak 's introduction of the drop-in 126 film cartridge. The button on the front released a pop-up flash holder for a single AG-1 peanut flashbulb . Elevating the flash holder slows the shutter speed to 1/40th of a second whether there is a flashbulb in the holder or not. The 100 was made form 1963 - 1966 and had a 43mm f11 lens and produces a 26mm square image on film. The flash was powered by two AAA batteries. The final image is a Kodak for the Instamatic 100 from 1964 or 1965, as it mentions the NY World's Fair. You could try to use it if you can find film but it is likely best as a nice add to your collection. Not a high-end camera but significant in the realm of consumer photography as the introduction of the film cartridge eliminated clumsy roll film loading and made it easy for all.
